Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia. I am an applied economist with research interests in economic history and political economy. My work examines how technological change, migration, and historical shocks shape labor markets, immigrant integration, and social outcomes, using newly digitized historical data and modern empirical methods. I am also interested in how conflict interacts with cultural dynamics.
In Fall 2026, I will start as an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with a joint appointment in the Bogen Family Department of Economics and the Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics Program.
Before joining UBC, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Management from Bocconi University in Milan. I also worked for three years as a Senior Researcher at INCAE Business School in Costa Rica. You can access my CV here.
