Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia.
I am an applied economist with research interests in economic history, political economy, labor economics, and comparative development. My work examines how technological change, migration, and historical shocks shape labor markets, immigrant integration, and social outcomes, using newly digitized historical data and modern empirical methods. I am also interested in how conflict interacts with cultural dynamics.
I am on the 2025-2026 job market!
I will attend the CEPR Paris Symposium in December 2025 and the ASSA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia in January 2026.
I am honored to have received the Cambridge University Press Dissertation Fellowship from the Economic History Association and the Stone Ph.D. Fellowship from the Stone Centre on Wealth and Income Inequality for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Before joining UBC, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Management from Bocconi University in Milan. I also worked for three years as a Senior Researcher at INCAE Business School in Costa Rica.
